The theme for this year’s J&B Met was a rare blend which I interpret as blending fabrics and textures that wouldn’t normally be blended together? Or wearing clothing that people wouldn’t expect you to wear? Ugh it’s always so subjective. Anyways the celebrities also probably had their own interpretations, this is what they looked like.
Khanyi Mbau wore a colourful print jumpsuit by Lloyd HotSense with a colourful doek. Sinazo Yolwa kept it simple in a print dress.
Bonnie Mbuli wore a white blazer dress by Kluk CGDT also with Mimco accessories and shoes. Poppy Ntshongwana kept it simple in a gold dress.
Khanya Mkhangisa wore a white tulle skirt with a matching white sheer top by Spunk. I love her shoes, I wanted to buy them from Steve Madden but they didn’t complement my legs, had to let them go. Tumi Vorster wore a tulle dress with floral embroidery by Tuelo Ngyuza.
Mbali Nkosi wore a gold tulle dress with embellishments by La Manche. Lalla Hirayama wore a metallic dress with a cape by David Tlale and Mimco accessories.
Boity wore a sheer purple dress by Quiteria and George with Mimco accessories and shoes. She’s also wearing hazel contacts in case you were wondering why she looks different. Nandi Mngoma wore floral crop top and pencil skirt by Inga Madyibi and her accessories were all from Mimco including the headpiece that she is wearing.
